EXCEL Learning Community is a secular homeschool group designed for families seeking meaningful connections and a strong sense of togetherness within the homeschool community. We warmly welcome families who value inclusivity and appreciate a diverse community that nurtures a child’s learning journey at our classes offered in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. As a part of our community, we ask families to embrace the shared commitment of creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all members. Together, we can create a thriving educational space where everyone feels valued and engaged.

EXCEL Learning Community offers classes and services for Ages 5-15.

Community Building

All EXCEL Learning Community students will come together in our morning ensemble! Through the harmonious blend of singing and signing, they will discover the power of inclusive communication. Each week they’ll embark on a journey of personal growth, mastering a new life skill, such as teamwork, communication or self-assessment. Exploring the world of poetry and mindfulness, our students will thrive in this nurturing space, creating a strong sense of unity and togetherness among our EXCEL family.

ASL Embedding

At EXCEL, our morning block of classes becomes enriched with the invaluable presence of VICTORIA COURTNEY, RID Nationally Certified Interpreter, CI & CT. In a groundbreaking initiative, Victoria will join each classroom, seamlessly embedding American Sign Language (ASL) into the course. Through this natural and inclusive approach, students gain an authentic understanding of ASL. This enriching experience empowers our students to communicate effectively, promoting inclusivity and empathy within our vibrant learning community.

Enrichment

We take pride in offering a wide range of specialized enrichment classes that cater to the diverse interests and passions of our homeschooling families. Whether it’s music, theater, physical education, science, or language, our classes are designed to develop creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning in a supportive and collaborative environment.
